Grassroots venues can breath a sigh of relief as the Government has released new guidance that allows ticketed events to sell alcohol, even without the provision of food.
Hopefully this means that many venues and promoters in Tier 1 and 2 areas around the UK can now book shows over the next couple of months, while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
The campaigning of industry bodies such as the Night Time Industries Association and the Music Venue Trust helped push through this change, and we’re hopeful it will have a meaningful impact on the grassroots sector.
For further details on the regulations for each of the different tiers, please see the relevant pages on the Government’s website – Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3.
If this news means you can start booking shows again, you can get those on sale through your WeGotTickets Client Admin area. We’re looking forward to working with many of you again!
